Ready for General Assembly?

Dear Beloveds,

Don’t look now, the Unitarian Universalist Association’s 2017 General Assembly is right around the corner! Here is a brief update to get you ready for the full experience.

First, thank you to all who have RSVP’d for our workshops. We have a great lineup of events this year:

  • Starr King Graduate Association Breakfast
  • The Fire of Love: Sheikh Ibrahim Abdulrahman Farajaje
  • UU Prison Ministry and Justice Beginning Today!
  • Big Easy/Real Life: An Immersion Experience
  • Starr King President’s Lecture: An Injury to All by the Rev. Dr. Gabriella Lettini
  • Starr King Friendship Breakfast
  • Seminary 101: Are you Called to Spiritual Leadership?
  • Starr King Ramadan Iftar Dinner

Space is limited at certain events. If you still need to RSVP, please do so here at your earliest convenience.

We look forward to seeing those of you in attendance at our booth (#711) and workshops. Please note that some of our events — Graduate Breakfast, Friendship Breakfast, Seminary 101, and Ramadan Iftar Dinner — are located off-site just north of the convention center at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside Hotel. Directions are available here.

We also want to encourage folks to join the Starr King contingent of the Banner Parade! We will gather with our banner at 7:00pm on Wednesday, June 21st in the Convention Center Hall B2-1 and B2-2 (the Exhibit Hall floor plan is on page 96 of the UUA’s program book).

And finally, don’t worry if you are unable to make it to New Orleans this year. Starr King has plenty of GA coverage coming your way soon. Once you have subscribed to the Starr King mailing list (the sign up is located in a red box on this page), check your inbox next week for daily GA Newsletters and find live updates on the official Starr King Facebook and Twitter pages. Feel free to join the conversation on social media using our official hashtag #SKSMGA17.

Thank you for your interest in experiencing Starr King at General Assembly. More to come soon!

Faithfully,

Starr King School for the Ministry
