Remembering Graduate Charles Blackburn

We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Starr King graduate Charles Byrd Blackburn (class of 1962).

A Unitarian Universalist since 1957, Charles used his education first as an activist in the Civil Rights movement in the South, and most recently, at age 80, as an advocate for marriage equality as a lobbyist working with the ACLU in Maryland.

May our prayers serve as comfort to the family and loved ones during this trying time.
