Psychedelic Policy, Advocacy, and Decriminalization will provide our Certificate in Psychedelic Justice and Companioning students with a framework for their future work.
July 3-31, 2025. Mondays & Thursdays, 11am-1pm and 2-4pm.
In this online synchronous course of lectures and active discussion, students will examine the entheogenic and psychedelic movement and ecosystem, blending policy analysis with a critical exploration of psychedelics and their societal impact. Students will engage with key debates in the field, various ethical considerations, and the intersection of punderstanding the historical, spiritual, cultural, and scientific contexts of psychedelics to challenge misinformation and reframe public perception. Through hands-on advocacy training, students will learn to analyze policies, engage with elected officials, and craft persuasive messaging to support decriminalization efforts.
Students will be evaluated by participation, a quiz, projects, presentations, and papers. By the end of the semester, students will be equipped with the knowledge and tools to shape the future of psychedelic policy and drive meaningful legislative change on a broad range of issues.
