ATS Accreditation
Starr King conducted a two-year self study for re-accreditation by the Association of Theological Schools in 2022-2024. After a site visit by an evaluation committee, Starr King received a five-year renewal of accreditation, effective through March 31, 2030.
ATS also issued a warning that Starr King is “at risk of not meeting” Accreditation Standard 10.3 – Financial Resources. The school is actively addressing this warning and will prepare a report by the deadline of November 1, 2026.

Starr King School for the Ministry is accredited by the Commission on Accrediting of the Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada, and the following degree programs are approved:
- MDiv, MA in Social Change
- Approved for a Comprehensive Distance Education Program
