2020-2021 Fundraising Success!

We’re happy to announce that due to our amazing donors, Starr King met its fundraising goal last fiscal year. Overall fundraising, including planned gift commitments, totaled $1,207,402.24! Check out some key highlights of our 2020-2021 year:

• A total of $38,349 has been raised and awarded to 30 students through the generous support of our donors to the SKSM Relief Fund. The average per student Relief grant was $1,278.30. This helped our students to continue their pursuit of a SKSM degree despite pandemic-related challenges.
• Our loyal donors gave $745,155.30 to our operating fund, well exceeding our goal of $720,000 for last year. This enabled the school to continue its progress toward financial sustainability during an uncertain time. Our operating fund goal for the 2021-22 fiscal year is $864,000.
• We awarded the first Earl Morse Wilbur Endowed Scholarship in April 2021 – these funds are awarded to a student who has demonstrated a robust interest in UU history, with strong preference given to applicants with an academic focus on the history of the Polish Brethren
