Biography

J. Tyson Casey is a seasoned coach, facilitator, and educator who believes in equitable, accessible, and regenerative communities where power is dispersed, agency is exercised, and informed consent is status quo.

As a teacher and mentor, Tyson uses academic, experiential, participatory, and somatic methods to cultivate internal and interpersonal conditions for emergent and dynamic decision-making, leadership, and liberation.

His writing has been published in Perspectives on Anarchist Theory, Seeds Of Peace, St. Petersburg Times, The Fuse, Turning Wheel, and Tikkun

In addition to his professional work, Tyson is a dedicated Zen practitioner, avid science fiction reader, and continual learner. He lives on sandy loam land in the unceded, ancestral terrain of the Yokuts, within the municipality of Fresno, CA with his spouse and their lionhead rabbits.
