Greetings. This is Becky Leyser, Starr King's Dean
of Students. We welcome applications to our master's programs. Starting in the 2007-2008 academic year, we'll also offer Seminary for the Laity, an online certificate program. For updated information about our programs, sign up for the e-Journal, our monthly e-mail newsletter, or watch our News & Events page on this Website.
To get a feel for our school and community, I invite you to listen to our podcasts.
To apply to our Master
of Divinity or Master
of Arts in Religious Leadership for Social Change programs, write a preliminary letter (by regular mail
or e-mail) to introduce yourself and express your interest.
We'll read your letter and send you an application,
unless your goals are completely incompatible with those
of the school. Once you've received your application, you'll then need to complete:
- an application form
- an autobiography
- responses to essay questions that Starr King provides
- transcripts
- five letters of reference: one from your minister,
one from an employer, one from a teacher and two
of your choosing
- a conversation between you and a member of the admissions
committee
- a non-refundable $65 application fee
To begin Starr King’s application process, please address
your letter of interest to:
