Vocational Discernment
At Starr King School, the faculty engages intensively with students in their vocational discernment. Finding the particular form of religious leadership that suits one's gifts, strengths, passions and personality takes time and is part of the learning process. The school's degree programs prepare people for ministry (M.Div.), for religious leadership in society (MASC) or for religious scholarship (M.A.). It's possible for students to begin SKSM in one program and transfer to another as their vocation clarifies.
Full-time Status
Currently, students must maintain full-time status in the school's M.Div. and MASC programs. Part-time study is allowed in the M.A. program. A part-time M.Div. option will be available 2007-2008.
Required units per semester:
M.Div. 9 units
MASC 9 units
M.A. 12 units
